Just a quick note about Emma's Throwback Thursday. This week she wants to go back to when we did not use any machines (that plugged in). Well wouldn't you know just last week I told my daughter, Veronica that I had decided to go back to when I first started making cards using the basics, paper, ribbons, brads, and layering effects, and the original red Sizzix. I'm going to have to remember to take my pictures in the daytime when I get the better light. So here is my card, hope you like it.

New cards
Whew! I have finally been able to get into my 'crap'room and create. I have been talking to some ladies who have bought my cards at Scrapbook shows and Scrap-garage sales who would like to learn. So I have come up with some cards to start with. The class will be on Friday, October 8, 2010 at 7PM. My pictues are not as clear as I'd like this time but you get the ideas. Yes, there is plenty of ribbons, shiney papers and of course got to have those puffy pop-dots to raise images. Hope you like.

Baby lets cruise, away from here...
Well it's been awhile since my last post. Just got lost in alot of things to do and take care of since getting back. I had a wonderful time with my family celebrating my Father's 80th birthday by going on the cruise. I flew to New York first with my folks to my older sister, Syd's home a day before and got to visit with her and her husband. The next day we met up at the docks with my sister, Lesly from Texas and her husband and their good friends. We boarded the ship around 4 PM and I was blown away at the size. My cabin had two port holes to look out of and there was water as far as I could see. Dinners were in the dining room at 6 PM every night and we could either eat on lido deck on our own or in the dining area at certain times and be waited on. The night shows were great, either comedy or vegas type shows. There were 13 decks and to be honest I probably only saw 5-7 of them. Okay,I was busy at the casino with the 'Bucking Ahoy' or 'Ahoy Buckeneers' slot machine. We had a day in St John's off the ship and was able to take a joy ride to see the lighthouse (thought it was going to be a few) which turned out to be one. Still a beautiful sight from the water. My only requirement was to make sure I received the cute towels and there was a different one every night. On the last day I asked my steward for a small one to take home ( yes, he got an extra tip). Well enjoy my pictures.

Wednesday's Throwback
Things have been very hectic for a few weeks and will continue to be for a few more. I went on a mini vacation with my Husband to Mt Pleasant and to visit my parents up in Indian River. Had such a good time visiting and of course a little gamblin at the casino. Did I win? No, but had a nice time people watching. The casino is beautiful inside and out.
I'm now getting ready to take a cruise with my parents and sisters to New Brunswick, Canada for about 4 days. This is a first for most of us and should be very exciting. I think I'm more excited seeing my sisters than the actual cruise. A little nervous about the big, big boat. I'll have a few pictures when I get back.
So on to my project. Emma's challange is for the theme of school. Her boy's will be going back this Monday. I have created an 8 x 8 page using the cartridges, My Community, Speaking of School, Printing Press, and my new found paper from Papertrey. This is a 110lb paper and cuts like butter with my Cricut. Color coordinating EVERYTHING. Buttons, paper, ribbon, felt, etc. Check it out.

Throwback Thursday Birthday
Emma's new "throwback" challange is for birthday. I used the Cricut cartridges "Just Because" Cards and "Sweet Treats". The face on the cone is Peachy Keens "Princess Face" assortment. Of course "Stickles" for the bling and the cardstock in "Stampin Up". I went to an 8 hours crop last night and had fun with the ladies creating this for the challange.
Another one I made for the challange. Not sure which one I will enter but, I better decide since it has to be in soon.

Peachy Keen Challange
Our challange was to create for a favorite memory of a vacation. Well, one year I took my two youngest children, Dan, and Veronica to Tennesee. We stayed at the'Grand Old Opry' Hotel for one night. What an experience, it was fantastic. While there, since my Daughter has a FANTASTIC voice we decided(ok I decided) since there was an open mike nite at the Nashville Palace to have her sing with their live band. What a thrill to be sitting in the audience and watch her. So here is what I created. Hope you like it.

It's getting there
Last night my Daughter, Veronica called at midnight to see if I was still awake. Of course I was, trying to catch up on all my dvr'd shows. She said she had something for me to look at. OMGosh, the start of my NEW blog. She had shown me before the lady she chose for me, but all else was a BIG surprise. Yes, my desk is a MESS (that's how I roll) and my dog is always VERY close by (that's how SHE rolls). I'll post a picture of both later. Stay turned cuz there will be surprises that happen when you hover over (can't tell ya) things. I am sooo very proud of my Daughter, Veronica's work , I hope she doesn't charge too much. Oh you said it's FREE-What a GOOD Daughter. Love you honey.

Ice Cream Girl
Ice Cream. Ice Cream, Let's all scream for Ice Cream! Thought I would try to create a birthday card for a little girl. Waiting to hear from all of you so that I could use this as a give-away. Make sure to comment and leave your email.
I know my blog is in the VERY FIRST STAGES, in fact my Daughter, Veronica is THE BESTEST blog designer and I just can't figure out what I want for her to do for MY blog. I'm like.. OH I like this, NO I like that, Oh no what about this. I'm sure I'm her worst nightmare, but she loves me. So hang in there and soon you will see a wonderful, beautiful, creative blog (when I make up my mind).
Now to the good stuff, I used Cricut Paper Dolls, Create a Critter. Peachy Keen Everyday Faces and Princess Faces, Stampin Up! paper, button brads, white jelly roll pen.
Thanks for looking,
Terri

Another picture for Throwback Thursday at My Creative Time
Thought I would send in another one to Emma at My Creative Time. I have found a new way to keep me busy. A Cricut! Had I only known it was this fun, I would have kept the first two I had years ago. I guess I just was not ready to play then. So...this entry called for something 'baby' with an older cartridge if we did not have "New Arrival". I did not have it, I used Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge. The other items included, Gelly Roll white pen, Stampendous Dog paw stamp w/Versamark, Stampin Up paper and of course Peachy Keen Princess Face stamps. I'm so loving this new machine. Hope you enjoy.
Thanks,
Terri

Throwback Thursday
Here is my entry for Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge @ My Creative Time. For this project I used the Doodlecharms Cricut Cartridge, Stampin' Up! card stock, red grosgrain ribbon, brown satin ribbon, some brown brads and my white gel pen for the accents..
See the little green worm peeking out of the top right apple? That's the Doodlecharm balloon string!
The faces are from Peachy Keen's Everyday Character Faces. What a great set! And the sentiment is by Inkadinkado.
Thanks for stopping by!
